CCC Portland Chambray Fatigue Overshirt - Short Sleeve
CCC Portland Chambray Fatigue Overshirt - Short Sleeve
Our CCC Portland Fatigue 6oz Chambray Over-shirt is based on the top half of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) M1937 Fatigue Uniform with a small difference. This garment in its’ original form used to be more of a denim jumper than a shirt. You had to pull it on over your head as it did not open all the way to the hem. The soldiers complained about it and then just tore it down the centre to create a shirt, we have done this a little more thoughtfully with buttons. And for our latest version, we have further adapted it with another fabric favoured by the military (US Navy) Chambray was first adopted by the US Navy in 1901. The chambray shirts came in both long and short-sleeve variations, would be light blue in colour and were sometimes worn with the addition of a white long-sleeve t-shirt.
Fit Advice - Relaxed fit, comfortable as an overshirt, please consult the measurements table.
Fabric - The chambray fabric is raw and unwashed so at first it will be a little still like new denim, after a few wears and a couple of washes it will soften up
